  1. Tempie these are wonderful and clearly creativity brings you much joy. Many moons ago I was married to an artist and I remember him saying that one of the most challenging things for an artist is a self portrait. I wonder is this something that you’ve tried?

I was speaking about art to a friend at the weekend and she said that when she paints or draws, in order to get some perspective she looks at the piece in a mirror. For some reason this allows you to view your work as others see it.

I just thought I would pass her wisdom on to you in the spirit of creativity.

  2. Thank you so very much Jacqueline! I am very inspired that you like my drawings. I knew you had a keen eye and sharing what your ex-husband told you is admirable. You are so very right in everything you have said and I am so very appreciative. In fact this is a confirmation to what my husband had told me the other day about doing a self portrait of myself. I have doodled at me as a baby and a child from earlier photos .

I am now becoming excited at the challenge and idea you have shared from your friend of looking from a mirror. This is beautiful and yes, it would give another perspective as others see. You are so very creative and expressive in all you do. Have you ever had interest yourself in becoming an artist? In all honesty, you paint such vivid and warm pictures in words on your blogs and in your comments. You are an inspiration to me and I am so very glad we have connected. Blessings

  3. I guess I’ve always thought of myself as creative but not in any formal or constructive sense. Drawing, painting etc is not something that I’m drawn to try, but admire and enjoy what others create. My creative writing is probably the most creative and brave this I have done in a long time, and something I’m just feeling my way around. As far as creativity goes in my life I love to sew, bad sadly have little time for this. I do however love to cook – which is creative I guess. Cooking to me is really important and it is one of the ways that I show my family how much I love them. Good luck with the self portrait!
